This post, together with the tweet that will go out with it, will mark my 10,000th tweet.

Twitter’s given me a lot over the past 3 and a bit years, from being the base for my first startup – twithawk.com (acquired in 2012), through to connecting with and learning from some of the best devs out there that I would otherwise never have come across.

It upsets me when people say they don’t ‘get’ twitter, or that it’s ‘not for them’, when really, they don’t have to contribute if they don’t absolutely want to, some people just aren’t like that, but at least get on there and follow the leaders in your field, and let them pull you up with them. Learn from them, keep on top of the latest news and trends. You’ll be better off for it, trust me. If you need some help on finding the right people to follow, check out this post.

You’re a gold mine Twitter, and for that, I thank you.
